Geologist asked by U.S. to guess location of bin Ladin from video

News Desk – It is reported that John Shroder, a geology expert at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, was approached by the U.S. government to determine the location of bin Ladin from the rock formations present in a video released the day U.S. attacks on Afghanistan began.
Mr. Shroder said the rock outcrop is sedimentary . . .

Mr. Shroder said the rock outcrop in the background of the video consisted of sedimentary rock, to be found in the south and south-central part of Afghanistan — an area known to contain many caves.

Mr. Shroder is an expert of the area and has done considerable research in Afghanistan until he was asked to leave in 1978

This shows the total lack of intelligence the U.S. has about the location of bin Laden.
